Your role on the team:
- Creates the strategy for the development of the Italian Trade Lanes business
- Develops and owns the relationships with all North American Customer(s) and works with the other regional directors in this segment, as well as the global strategy partner
- Drives the value propositions and personally leads the proposals for the identified must wins
- Works with the Regions on budgets, prospect opportunities and strategic requirements
- Owns/supports RFI’s and RFQ’s and ensures the bids are completed
- Develops growth for the Italian Trade Lanes portfolio
- Leads a team that is created to build this business
What you need:
- Travel to Italy a minimum of twice per year, and hosting reciprocating visits from the customers from Italy
- Proven record of business development success, validated by experience listing
- Deep knowledge of industry and markets / sectors, validated by proven contacts
- Must have 10 years freight forwarding experience
- Must have solid operational knowledge, and be able to speak to the operations of the customer
