As a CDL-A Owner-Operator leased on to SoboTranz, you’ll run dry van freight with steady lanes, clear weekly settlements, and a dispatch plan you can trust. We keep terms straightforward, communicate fast, and treat you like a partner—not a number.

You bring your own truck and operate as a 1099 Independent Contractor under SoboTranz authority (DOT/MC).

Owner-Operator Lease On Packages

80/20 Split

Built for owner-operators who want the simplest setup:

• Load gross revenue split 80/20
• Auto & cargo liability covered through the program
• You carry bobtail + physical damage (your truck)

82/18 Split

For owner-operators who want a higher split and are comfortable contributing toward program insurance:

• Load gross revenue split 82/18
• Driver contributes toward program insurance
• You carry bobtail + physical damage (your truck)

Settlements are based on the total gross revenue for the loads you run—so you’re not guessing what’s included.

Additional Pay

• Extra stop: $35 per stop
• Detention: $25/hour after 2 hours
• Layover: $100 (if no load booked prior to 4 PM)

Home Time

We communicate schedules upfront and keep dispatch aligned with what you’re trying to run:

• Initial run: 21 days out / 3 days home
• After onboarding: 14 days out / 2 days home

We focus on steady lanes with Chicago as a primary hub and keep the operating area straightforward (some areas are restricted).

Primary freight corridors include:

CDL-A Owner-Operator Requirements

• Valid CDL-A
• 3 years of verifiable experience
• Clean MVR & PSP
• No accidents in the last 3 years
• No speeding in the last 3 years
• No moving violations in the last 3 years
• Bobtail insurance required
• Physical damage insurance required
• Bring your own truck
• Drug & alcohol testing compliance
