The Client Consultant plays a critical and unique role at Euromonitor International. Working across  a named list of existing high-profile accounts with established spending patterns, your goal is to win additional business opportunities within the North American region. By leveraging our entire suite of services, the Client Consultant’s role is to engage multiple business units and various functions including strategy, consumer insights, marketing, innovation, finance, etc., to uncover unmet market research needs. Solutions include data and trend analysis from existing syndicated databases as well as custom research capabilities to address specific priorities.


 Key Responsibilities:

Product Knowledge

o   Develop a deep understanding of Euromonitor’s syndicated databases and custom research capabilities, and be able to succinctly explain them to clients.

o   Apply and design tailored solutions using all available resources to meet client needs.

  • Client Organization Understanding
    • Continuously grow a network of new contacts and create a deeper awareness within client organizations through consistent, proactive engagement with decision-makers, business stakeholders.
    • Map, network, and penetrate a client’s organizational structure, while understanding key business processes such as strategic planning, innovation funnels, and market entry strategies.
    • Challenge clients constructively to broaden their perspectives.
  • Sales Process
    • Own an annual upsell target while collaborating in business retention. Lead strategic client meetings to understand needs, offer valuable insights, and position our research as a problem-solving tool. Build strong relationships across client organizations to expand engagement.
    • Develop tailored value propositions and assist in crafting syndicated and custom research proposals. Use a consultative, benefit-led approach to drive sales, negotiate contracts, while overcoming obstacles to executive engagement.
    • Identify new opportunities for our capabilities within client organizations and proactively expand key contacts. Provide valuable client feedback to internal teams, ensuring our research and solutions align with market needs.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of sales experience, demonstrating continued success in those roles.
  • Proven track record of managing and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Intellectual curiosity, along with a competitive spirit.
  • Consistently approaching challenges head-on; asks “why not” as opposed to “why.”
  • Comfort interacting with executives within various levels and functions.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management, managing numerous contacts including scheduling, follow up, and establishing frequent points of interaction.
  • Global perspective and understanding of international markets.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal colleagues.

At Euromonitor International, we are committed to transparency and pay equity.  Pursuant to Illinois law, we provide salary range and benefit info on all job postings based in our Chicago office.  The base salary range for this role is $64,066 to $78,692 based on experience and qualifications.  Alongside Salary, we offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance options, 401k, paid time off, hybrid work set up, core hours and other perks to support a positive work environment.
