Internship Summary

NinjaHoldings is seeking a motivated Content Marketing Intern to support the creation, optimization, and distribution of content across our digital channels within the fast-paced fintech industry. This role is primarily focused on writing and editing informative, engaging content for websites, blogs, email, social media, and other customer-facing communications, with an emphasis on making financial topics clear and accessible to consumers.

The intern will gain hands-on experience with content marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), including strategies for improving content visibility across traditional search engines and AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Claude, and Grok. The role will also provide exposure to the unique opportunities and considerations involved in creating accurate, trustworthy, and compliant content within the financial services industry.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer with excellent attention to detail and an interest in fintech, personal finance, digital marketing, SEO, GEO, and social media. Candidates should be eager to learn, comfortable incorporating feedback, and able to adapt their writing for different audiences, channels, and financial topics.

When: May-August 2027

Location: Hybrid, downtown Chicago HQ (in-office 2x/week). Candidates must be local or able to relocate independently - relocation assistance is not provided.

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and write clear, engaging content on fintech, personal finance, lending, and other financial topics for a consumer audience
  • Support the creation and optimization of financial content while following brand, editorial, and regulatory/compliance guidelines 
  • Research, write, edit, and optimize content for blogs, website pages, email, social media, and other digital marketing initiatives while maintaining a consistent brand voice
  • Assist with SEO keyword research and content optimization to identify new opportunities and improve organic search visibility
  • Stay informed on emerging fintech trends, technologies, regulations, and industry developments to identify relevant content opportunities
  • Support GEO initiatives by writing and structuring authoritative, well-sourced content designed for visibility and citation within AI-powered search and generative platforms
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, legal, and other stakeholders to incorporate feedback and move projects from development through publication

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, research, and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and command of grammar.
  • Previous writing experience through internships, coursework, school publications, freelance work, blogs, or other projects, along with a portfolio or writing samples
  • Interest in content writing, personal finance, SEO, GEO, social media, and digital marketing
  • Interest in fintech, financial services, personal finance, and emerging trends shaping the financial technology industry
  • Ability to research financial topics and translate complex fintech concepts into clear, accurate, and engaging content for a consumer audience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and respond productively to feedback
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
