Your impact.We’re looking for a strategic and creative Content Marketing Lead who can turn insights into meaningful storytelling and impactful content that drives brand awareness, thought leadership, top of funnel engagement and pipeline conversion. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll lead creation of content that breaks through the clutter – leveraging your expertise and AI to scale smarter and faster. You’ll execute the content strategy to resonate with our audience across multiple formats working cross-functionally with product marketing, performance marketing, enablement and sales.
Strategy & Planning- Design and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned to HealthJoy’s business goals and buyer journey
- Translate product positioning, value props and enterprise-level stories into content strategy for target audience engagement (for example: HR professionals, benefit consultants, employers)
- Identify content needs and create a comprehensive content marketing strategy and full-funnel/multi-channel content calendar that aligns with HealthJoy's business goals and buyer journey
- Partner with SMEs to leverage original & secondary research to fuel engaging content and insights for your target audience
- Own and manage the editorial calendar across all content types and distribution channels, ensuring alignment with product launches, campaigns, and seasonal priorities
- Partner to develop and maintain a consistent process at the team level and with leaders to ensure alignment to standards and best practices across content disciplines
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive content, and the needs of our buyers to inform strategy and uncover white space
- Lead development of content across formats including blog articles, thought leadership, white papers, webinars, videos, sales decks, one pagers, email nurtures, and social media
- Translate complex product and industry topics into clear, persuasive and human-centered messaging
- Support product launches and feature releases with clear and engaging content that supports adoption and sales enablement
- Partner with internal SMEs to turn data, research, and customer insights into digestible and compelling narratives
- Collaborate with content writers, designers, freelancers, and agencies to produce polished, on-brand content
- Lead a small team of content contributors providing editorial guidance, feedback and support
- Mentor and develop talent, fostering a culture of quality, creativity and accountability
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Sales, and the Executive team to ensure alignment and buy-in
- Champion the voice of the brand internally and externally—ensuring consistent tone, messaging, and standards across all channels
- Drive internal processes to streamline content workflows and improve collaboration across functions
- 7+ years of experience in B2B content marketing, journalism, or communications—preferably in healthcare, benefits, HR tech or SaaS (benefits background highly preferred)
- A strategic mindset with proven experience developing and executing successful content strategies across the funnel
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills—able to simplify complexity, speak credibly to executive-level buyers and demonstrate a lively, creative voice in your writing
- A portfolio that reflects versatility in formats and voice, with an emphasis on clarity, relevance, and business impact including webinars, email, social media, data storytelling
- Experience managing editorial calendars, leading projects from research, analysis, ideation through delivery, and juggling multiple deadlines
- Collaborative and confident working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
- Prior experience leading direct reports or freelance contributors
- Experience with personalizing content (by industry, persona, funnel stage) via account-based marketing, webinars, or product marketing
- Experience with SEO strategy, keyword research, and optimization for both thought leadership and lead generation content.
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms and marketing automation tools
- Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related liberal arts field

The cash compensation above includes base salary only. Certain roles are eligible for additional cash incentives such as commission, annual bonus targets, overtime pay or other variable incentives.
HealthJoy maintains a comprehensive strategy to determine rewarding and competitive packages for individual compensation for new hires, internal promotions and internal job changes. This strategy is based on several factors unique to each individual, including: 1) the skills, experience and qualifications of the individual; 2) the responsibilities and demands of the role; 3) analysis of external market data; and 4) company budget and financial performance.
HealthJoy is a remote-first employer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
