About Discovered Labs

Discovered Labs is an SEO/AEO agency built by a Stanford rocket scientist turned AI researcher (Ben Moore) and demand gen marketer with experience scaling B2B SaaS companies to 8-figures in ARR (Liam Dunne).

We're a team of ML engineers, data scientists and senior marketers trusted by fast-growing B2B SaaS companies including Instantly, Granola and Composio to help generate leads and customers through Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT.

We do this through a mixture of content marketing, technical optimisations and off-site brand amplification (PR, backlinks, Reddit marketing).

High-level overview of our approach:

  • AI-powered operations: Our ML team builds internal tools that remove repetitive work and give marketers more time for judgement and execution.

  • Senior judgement: Experienced marketers set the strategy and quality bar; automation supports the work rather than replacing it.

  • Full-stack execution: We work across content, technical SEO/AEO and off-site amplification to give clients better outcomes.

Note: If you want to stand out, please include a Loom video showing a tool, system or deliverable you've produced and are proud of. We'd love to see it!

This role

This is Discovered Labs' first full-time, in-house content marketing hire. Today we publish across Liam and Ben's LinkedIn profiles, work with external partners on YouTube and video for one founder, and use internal systems to mine calls, customer conversations and market activity for ideas.

You'll run that operation day to day: help choose what is worth making, take content to publishable quality, coordinate partners and use performance to decide what comes next. Reach and engagement are inputs; meetings booked from organic content are the goal.

This is an AI-forward role supported by our AI/ML engineers and data scientists, who will help improve the tools behind the workflows. As the function grows, the role can develop into broader marketing across other channels and campaigns.

It is fully remote, ideally within +/-4 hours of GMT, though we can be flexible for the right person.

What you'll do

You will take content from topic selection through publication, then use performance to decide what comes next. The core of the role is founder-led content.

You will not be expected to do advanced video editing or graphic design. If you have these skills it's a huge bonus, but for the most part we will use freelancers and agencies for post-production tasks - your responsibility is to set the strategy, coordinate and ensure every deliverable is on-brand.

  • Run the content motion across founder profiles: use our content systems and work directly with Liam and Ben to select topics, develop each idea, take it to publish-ready and schedule it on the right profile, with LinkedIn and YouTube as the primary channels.

  • Make partner-produced content recognisably Discovered Labs: for when we use partners (such as our YouTube agency and freelance editors) you set the brief and editorial bar, review scripts and deliverables, and give clear feedback until the work feels uniquely ours.

  • Repurpose long-form content into channel-native formats: You’ll create the strategy and do the work for turning long-form content such as a video on YouTube into shorter formats such as a written LinkedIn post or video clip, ensuring content is platform-native and optimised for consumption, briefing freelance editors on the repurpose strategy.

  • Improve the systems behind the work: partner with our engineers and data scientists to strengthen our internal tools that help with topic selection, drafting, analytics, reporting and quality checks.

  • Turn performance into editorial decisions: connect reach, engagement and qualified attention with meetings booked from organic content and pipeline. Decide what to repeat, improve, stop or test next.

The ideal person for this role
  • You have editorial judgement. You can identify a missing argument, insert creative analogies, add stories, cut repetitive ideas and choose one direction.

  • You can move complex production. You coordinate contributors and specialists towards a publishable result, give decisive feedback and keep work moving without taking every task back yourself.

  • You improve systems through use. You learn the operation, identify the real constraint and make targeted improvements while continuing to publish.

  • You act on data. You can name a piece that underperformed, explain what the data suggested and show what you changed next.

Requirements
  • An understanding of social content. You understand hooks, retention, reformatting content for platform-native consumption and why different formats may be more optimal for different objectives.

  • A portfolio showing work you personally took to publication, with a clear explanation of your contribution when collaborators or agencies were involved.

  • Evidence of editing, ghostwriting or shaping content in another person's voice.

  • Experience running a recurring content operation across internal contributors, external partners or multiple channels.

  • AI-forward operator who actively integrates AI into creative and production workflows to increase speed, output, and iteration.

  • Excellent written English and availability for a working day that overlaps meaningfully with GMT.

This role is not for you if…
  • Your strategy is to copy what is already working for somebody else and post generic LinkedIn content. We need original ideas grounded in customers, the market and founder expertise.

  • You are strongest at calendars and coordination or need a polished brief before you can start. This role requires hands-on editorial ability and comfort finding the point in calls, voice memos and half-formed ideas.

  • You use AI to produce copy you cannot explain, verify or defend. You must retain editorial judgement and responsibility for the final output.

Culture fitYou'll thrive here if:
  • You like small teams, direct feedback and a high degree of autonomy.

  • You would rather publish, learn and improve than protect a perfect plan.

  • You are comfortable making a recommendation and explaining the evidence behind it.

You won't thrive here if:
  • You need heavy management or wait for perfect instructions.

  • You mistake volume for quality or strategy for production.

  • You need a large team around you before you can produce.

What's in it for you
  • Compensation: $30,000 - $50,000 USD (or EUR/GBP equivalent), depending on experience.

  • Fully remote: work from where you do your best work, with meaningful overlap with GMT.

  • Paid holidays: 30 days paid holiday.

  • Real autonomy: you will have a voice, be trusted to do your work and make improvements to our systems.

  • Flexibility: You can have flexible working hours with the expectation of 40 hours of meaningful work per week.

  • Growth path: develop into broader marketing leadership across channel and creative specialists.

  • A small, senior team: work directly with experienced operators, with direct feedback and quick decisions.

  • Annual company off-site: We get together once a year at a nice destination to relax, reset and plan.

Interview Process:
  • Async assessment (15 minutes)

  • 30 minute call with founder

  • 90 minute deep-dive into career history and work

  • 2 hour paid assessment

  • Reference checks with former peers and managers.
