As a Contract Associate, you will support Clario’s commercial contracting processes, including contracting questions, reviews, and edits. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to help ensure mutually agreeable contracts are negotiated and executed, while supporting accurate and efficient contract workflows throughout the contract lifecycle. Review core agreements in conjunction with contracting standards, including Nondisclosure Agreements (NDAs), Work Orders (WOs), Change Orders (COs), and other agreements; provide guidance and options to appropriate leaders when terms and conditions fall outside established standards or acceptable risk parameters.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Project Management, and Operations, on specifications required for drafting agreements, and support Business Development with client inquiries on contract-related matters as assigned.
Manage assigned contract workflows through the contract lifecycle, ensuring required internal approvals are received and tracking, managing, and completing assigned tasks.
Maintain accurate contract data in the CRM/central database to support reporting of booked business, backlog, and forecast information across Finance, Sales, Operations, Project Management, and relevant integrated business systems.
Maintain organized contract files to facilitate final quality control, activation, filing, e-signature uploads, and document retention, and assist with client or regulatory agency audits as assigned.
Support more senior team members with negotiating and redlining Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Data Processor Agreements (DPAs), and other complex agreements; participate in team and interdepartmental meetings and projects, assist with training new staff, and provide additional support or special-project assistance as defined by team management.
Bachelor’s degree or company-specific or proven related experience in contracting; a combination of experience and education will be taken into consideration.
0–3+ years of commercial contracting or related experience, with an understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures in commercial contracting; experience working with complex and/or non-standard agreements is preferred.
Pharmaceutical and/or CRO experience is a significant plus.
Experience working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional interpersonal, telephone, and client interaction skills, with the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
Ability to work remotely within the United States.
