As a Customer Coordinator, you will play a critical role at the intersection of customers, sales teams, and global product divisions. Acting as a central coordination point, you will provide both technical and commercial support for assigned product lines, ensuring accurate communication, responsive customer service, and seamless collaboration across internal and external stakeholders. Customer & Sales Coordination

  • Serve as a primary liaison between customers, Regional Sales Managers, distributors, and internal product divisions.
  • Ensure timely, accurate communication to resolve customer needs and support sales initiatives.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries related to product selection, availability, pricing, and order status.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams.

Technical Product Support

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned product lines, applications, and technical specifications.
  • Provide internal and external technical support related to product selection, applications, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with technical documentation, application guidance, and product selection support.
  • Coordinate with German product divisions and international partners regarding product updates, development activities, and technical issues.

Pricing & Quotation Support

  • Prepare and manage customer quotations in close coordination with sales and internal product teams.
  • Maintain product pricing structures, price lists, and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct pricing and technical analysis to support sales effectiveness and product management decisions.

Training & Communication

  • Support the development and delivery of product and application training for internal teams, distributors, and customers.
  • Communicate product updates, changes, and enhancements to Regional Sales Managers and distributors.
  • Assist in maintaining product documentation, marketing materials, and technical resources.

Systems, Reporting & Data Management

  • Utilize SAP to generate reports related to product sales, pricing, and operational performance.
  • Maintain accurate customer, product, and pricing records within company systems.
  • Support data analysis and internal reporting for assigned product lines.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing customer experience and internal coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows between customers, sales teams, and internal divisions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of sales operations and product line management.

Travel

  • Approximately 10%–20% travel for customer visits, training, and coordination with internal and international divisions.

Computer & Systems Skills - proficiency or working knowledge of:

  • SAP or Oracle ERP systems
  • SQL or database tools
  • Project management tools

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate pricing, discounts, commissions, percentages, and proportions.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts to support technical or product-related analysis.

Personal Attributes

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
  • Highly organized with strong coordination and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Requirements

To be considered for the Customer Coordinator role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • Experience in technical sales support, customer coordination, or product support is strongly preferred.
  • Prior exposure to industrial products or manufacturing environments is a plus.

Communication

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical and business information, verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable presenting information and responding to questions from customers, managers, and internal stakeholders.

Customer Service Orientation

  • Demonstrates professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability in addressing customer needs.
  • Builds trust-based relationships with customers, distributors, and sales teams.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Ability to evaluate technical and commercial data, identify issues, and develop practical solutions.
  • Applies logical reasoning to complex, multi-variable scenarios.

Technical & Business Acumen

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, business reports, and professional publications.
  • Capable of preparing business correspondence, reports, and procedural documentation.
  • Effectively interprets written, diagrammatic, and schedule-based information.

The salary range for this position is between $65,000 to $75,000. HYDAC offers employees a comprehensive medical/dental/vision plan, paid holidays, PTO, 401k with company matching, FSA account, short term disability and life insurance, and pet insurance.
