Overview:

We are seeking a Data/Automation Engineer to partner closely within our Fixed Income Operations Team to design, build, and scale internal tools, dashboards, and automation workflows. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, data, and business operations, with a focus on improving efficiency, visibility, and decision-making across the firm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain internal dashboards, portals, and GUI-based tools for trading and operations teams
  • Develop automation solutions to streamline manual workflows and improve operational efficiency
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Design and manage data pipelines and reporting systems using SQL and Python
  • Contribute to full-stack development (front-end interfaces + backend systems)
  • Partner with Operations to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial and operational reporting

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related roles
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • SQL (data querying, transformation, reporting)
    • Python (scripting, automation, data workflows)
    • C# (or similar backend language)
  • Experience building full-stack applications, including dashboards, portals, or internal tools
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward automation and efficiency
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or proprietary trading environments
  • Familiarity with financial products, particularly:
    • Bonds
    • Futures
  • Exposure to trading or operations workflows
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., P&L, reconciliations, reporting)
  • Experience working with real-time or high-volume data environments

Annual compensation range $100K - $150K + discretionary bonus eligibility
