This role is responsible for active searching for, connecting with and negotiating the collaboration agreement with different POS Software companies, Data aggregators, Data extractors to acquire POS Tlog data from Independent Trade stores. The role can cover multiple countries, depending on the digitization strategy and needs.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Data Strategy team & regional Product Leads to understand product road map and ensure vendor sourcing plans are in sync
  • Work with Data Strategy Team & regional Product Leads on channel level plans and ensure alignment on targeted # of stores & channel types for the country’s vendor needs
  • Creating sourcing plan on country and channel type level
  • Ongoing lead generation of POS providers, Data Aggregators, Promo companies & other eData providers through- RES, desk research, referrals, networking
  • Establish contact with the right person within these companies with data partnership decision making powers
  • Pitch NIQ eData vision and plans, initiate further discussions with these companies
  • Ensuring legal documentation is in place to enable further discussions (NDA)
  • Facilitate further discussions with vendor through stages of :
    • establishing store count estimates,
    • ensuring testing data are received in a proper format
    • providing feedback to the vendor based on the test data
    • aligning final usable store counts
  • Drive discussions to craft a lucrative offering for the vendor, negotiate the deal, business case approval & contracts
  • Ensure smooth handover of vendor to eData & internal teams post contract for technical elements of the vendor relationship
  • Identify vendors with scope of partnering & expanding footprint within & across countries
  • Work with Global Data Partnership teams to create expansion plans, offering & investment asks
  • Negotiate the expansion deals & ensure execution
  • Participate in Retailer & Retail Tech events to showcase NielsenIQ eData vision
  • Launch Social Media campaigns to showcase NielsenIQ eData vision

Qualifications

About you

Strong acumen in business development, SMB business. The person should be resourceful, results-driven, understanding the basics of the POS Software & Hardware capabilities, competent in building vendor relationship which might even start with desktop research. Passionate about new POS technologies in SMB business within independent trade and finding opportunities to connect the technology with NIQ data sourcing needs. The person needs to have excellent negotiation skills, understanding of legal affairs/contract negotiations with sharp financial acumen.

Qualifications & Skillset

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial (sales or customer service)
  • Ideally from FMCG or Retail background, if not then 2nd choice will be Retail Tech
  • Great communication skills, out of box thinker, creative in establishing contact with POS SW companies, Data Aggregators
  • Operates independently, while knowing when & how to escalate for support
  • Operates well with stakeholders across functions. Is a great team player
  • Excellent presentation skills, sales pitching, contract and deal negotiations
  • Great account management skills, identifying opportunities to grow the business with the collaborating vendor
  • Is confident working with senior leadership
  • Working well in a dynamic team, but also thriving in individual work

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: 96,300.00 USD AnnualUSD Annual.  Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
