Description

Structural 

SUMMARY

Responsible for creating structural box samples to assist Sales Representatives in sales promotions.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Discuss design projects with Sales Representatives and be able to select the appropriate designs needed and draw designs.
  • Make samples on CAD table or cut samples by hand.
  • Record keeping and filing of specifications.
  • Meet time schedules on projects with possible overtime involved.
  • Make production specifications from prototype.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Associates degree or higher in the field of computers, CAD, or drafting. Will consider years of experience in lieu of a degree

Experience

  • 3–5-years’ experience in corrugated preferred
  • Knowledge of Artios CAD, Kongsberg table, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit or stand as needed.
  • May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.

  • May include lifting to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.

Work Environment:

  • Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
  • May occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas were under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and mandatory hearing protection.
  • Work in office located in Bridgeview, Illinois.
