Job DescriptionThe R&D Development Sciences, Financial Analyst assists with the financial planning and analysis, reporting processes and requirements for WW Dev Sci Internals. The role will assist the Dev Sci Finance Manager in managing approximately $800MM budget and 2,700 FTEs through effective business partnering. The role interacts cross-functionally to provide accurate and timely FP&A and reporting deliverables supporting AbbVie R&D Internals requirements.
Responsibilities
- Leads the month end close and financial reporting activities including monthly business/budget reviews, Plan, LBEs and preparation of related review packages with variance analysis/commentary on WW Internals expenses.
- Review and assist organization in approximately $50MM of capital investment RCEs per year
- Budgetary responsibility and financial support for US Site Operations
- Assists in acquisition integrations and related OMI activities
- Supports Accounting Shared Service monthly close and financial reporting processes by reviewing results for completeness and providing variance commentary, which may include P&L and balance sheet components (maintenance clearing as an example)
- Provides financial review and approvals (purchase order requests and invoices)
- Leads ad hoc analysis, projects, identify and recommend areas of improvement through use of AI tools
- BA degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or MBA a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years+ of progressive and related experience
- Strong financial, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and pro-active thought and decision making skills
- Able to work well independently and in a team oriented environment
- Proficient Excel skills required. Knowledge of SAP and BPC a plus

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
