The Director, Client Sales is responsible for the strategy of all business development and sales activity with existing Alkami clients in the Central Region. In addition to developing and maintaining long term relationships with key stakeholders and executive leaders throughout the Alkami client and partner portfolio, as a means to identify additional areas for Alkami to assist customers in meeting their strategic business needs. The Director, Client Sales will lead and develop a team of Client Sales Executives by executing strategies for add-on sales growth and report into the VP of Client Sales.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  •  Lead and manage the Client Sales team for Central Region

  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop the Client Sales team and their designated territory

  • Develop and execute strategies for quickly developing add on sales

  • Articulate the value proposition of the product and service to convert prospects

  • Negotiate/close deals and handle objections

  • Assist Client Sales Team when closing new business

  • Travel to meet with prospective customers

  • Attend trade shows and conferences on the company’s behalf and travel to meet with existing clients as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading and developing teams of 5+ and managing team quota

  • Demonstrable success of selling, prospecting, and building new business pipelines with financial institutions and/or online banking

  • High ethical standards and determination to success

  • Experience closing deals

  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly at all levels of the organization, including C-level. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications

  • Sales Experience: 5+ years’ experience carrying or directly supporting a quota

  • Professional Drive: must have a strong sense of urgency and accountability to generate new sales

  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to articulate examples of learning technical products or solutions

  • Abstract Reasoning: Ability to analyze, assess and address prospects needs within the context of our products and services 

Desired Skills:

  • Previous SaaS sales experience

  • Previous experience within the financial technology industry

The salary range for this position is: $160,000 - $200,000 + CommissionsCool Things to Know
