Job Summary:
Performs various legal and clerical duties in support of the Attorneys and Legal Department functions. The person hired for this position will ultimately gain a substantial knowledge of all court and office procedures, rules and authority and litigation process subject to general supervision. An analytical, confident, self-starter with a willingness to learn. Work closely with the calendaring team to meet all internal e-filing timelines.
Essential Duties:
- Navigate through the E-filing Portals
- Manage E-filing Calendar
- Prepare pleadings for uploading
- Upload cases for E-Filing maintaining accuracy of work through daily reports and follow up
- Print accepted filings and send for service
- Be well versed on all processes and procedures, such as E-filing timelines and coding
- Ensure quality of work while maintaining quantity of work
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- High School or GED required; college degree is a plus
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a legal, banking or business field is required
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, databases, and standard office software
- The ability to be well organized, timely, and manage multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated, proactive, and self-directed
- Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn
