Skylight is a technology startup building the OS of the family. We make Skylight Calendar, the smart calendar loved by millions of families (plus Wired and Wirecutter). Calendar 2 launched earlier this year to rave reviews, and our newest product, Skylight Buddy, was just named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026.

Our mission is to connect loved ones by creating the world’s simplest products and services that improve family life. Our founders are former venture capitalists and serial entrepreneurs who have scaled this business to $300M+ in annual revenue while being completely bootstrapped and profitable. We get to grow a happy, healthy company focused on making products our customers love without investors breathing down our necks.

Smart, hardworking people who care about making actually meaningful products love working here. People like you. We’re busy inventing new ways to simplify family life and help parents raise great kids – and we need your help! Come invent something new with us.

What You’ll Own:

In this role you’ll build, own, and improve the demand forecast for Skylight’s ecommerce business: Amazon and DTC, in the US and internationally. You’ll turn performance signals (traffic, conversion, in-stock levels, pricing, promotions) and consumer signals (macro trends and our own customer behavior) into SKU- and channel-level demand plans for Skylight Calendar, Frame, and Buddy. You’ll sit between Commercial, Finance, and Supply Planning so forecasts reflect our pricing and promotional strategy and give Supply Planning what it needs to buy and replenish. You’ll also help shape how we plan as we build out our Demand Planning tool in Pigment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the bottom-up forecast model for DTC and Amazon globally, covering both US and INTL.
  • Own SKU- and channel-level demand forecasts for Calendar, Frame, and Buddy, translating market and operational indicators into SKU-level demand and revenue projections.
    • Amazon: account for Buy Box performance, deal events, advertising, and inventory availability.
    • DTC: account for traffic, conversion, marketing plans, and the promotional calendar.
  • Work with Commercial counterparts to understand promotional and pricing strategy, and reflect that strategy in the demand forecast by quantifying the impact of each promotion and price change on demand.
  • Forecast new product and variant launches for ecommerce, including ramps and phase-outs, working with Commercial on launch plans and timing.
  • Align with Commercial and Finance on the revenue plan, and provide the demand forecast that informs the marketing spend budget.
  • Partner with the Retail Demand Planner and take the retail forecast and performance into account in the ecommerce forecast, factoring in its potential impact on ecommerce demand.
  • Work with Supply Planning on inventory challenges and opportunities. You own the demand signal, and Supply Planning owns purchasing and replenishment.
  • Support the monthly S&OP forecast cadence: prepare and present forecast accuracy, forecast vs. actual analyses, identify risks and upside opportunities, and document assumptions and scenarios.
  • Keep a log of demand assumptions and of adjustments to historical actuals (stock-outs, Buy Box issues, price changes), separating baseline from promotional demand.
  • Build scenario plans when inputs change, such as pricing or assortment.
  • Support the build and adoption of Pigment for demand planning, and keep improving our models, dashboards, and process.

What Sets You Apart:

This role is not for everyone. You will thrive here if you:

  • Can find the 1-2 things that actually drive outcomes or that will really make a difference for any given goal.
  • Feel comfortable in ambiguity. You don’t need a roadmap handed to you—you’ll make one.
  • Can both execute while designing repeatable processes that work in practice.
  • Care deeply. You show up with curiosity, vulnerability, and good intent.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • 4-7 years of experience in demand planning, revenue forecasting, analytics or similar for physical products, ideally in an omnichannel company.
  • Hands-on experience forecasting Amazon and DTC, and how stock-outs, Buy Box loss, and price changes distort history.
  • Strong forecasting fundamentals (seasonality, time-series methods, promotional lift) and advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Comfort working with data in BI tools (Omni, Looker, Tableau, or similar) to analyze performance and build reports.
  • A track record of partnering with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain, and communicating the story behind the numbers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or similar.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with Pigment or a similar planning platform (Anaplan, o9, Kinaxis).
  • Experience with international or multi-region ecommerce forecasting.
  • Experience forecasting new product launches, ideally consumer hardware with strong holiday seasonality.
  • Experience with S&OP or monthly demand review processes, and with an ERP such as NetSuite.

Our Commitment:

We value diverse experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives—and we hire kind, thoughtful people who care deeply about their work. If you're reading this and think, “I don’t check every box,” but still feel excited about the role: Apply. We want to hear from you.

Benefits

Our competitive compensation package includes:

  • Competitive Salary + Equity Package
  • 401K matching
  • Wellness, learning, and home-office budgets
  • Health, Dental & Vision Medical Plans
  • Tremendous autonomy to set the direction of your work
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Company holidays on the first Friday of every month (Excluding November, December, and January)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $130k-$160k per year. This range reflects the compensation Skylight reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, which may include experience, qualifications, skills, education, geographic location, and internal equity. Skylight also offers benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
