Old Mission is looking for a friendly, organized, and proactive Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Chicago headquarters. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate eager to launch their career in a professional environment, gain exposure to office operations, and grow alongside a collaborative team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. 

What You'll Do 

Front Desk & Visitor Experience 

  • Greet visitors warmly and ensure a polished first impression of Old Mission 
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally 
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, shipments, adhering to compliance requirements where needed 
  • Track guests in building registration software and on internal calendars 
  • Facilitate daily lunch offering to in-office employees, ensuring timely delivery and troubleshooting issues 
  • Coordinate seamless meeting room preparation, including scheduling support, setup, refreshments, and post-meeting cleanup 
  • Serve as the most visible point of contact for employee requests 

Office Upkeep & Hospitality 

  • Ensure kitchens are fully functional each morning to welcome our employees into the office 
  • Keep all common areas clean, organized, and professional throughout the day  

Supplies & Inventory 

  • Track and order office supplies, keeping an appropriate inventory, analyzing trends overtime, responding to employee requests, and tracking expenses 

What We're Looking For 

  • Bachelor's degree (recent graduates encouraged to apply) 
  • Warm, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and shift priorities throughout the day 
  • Reliable, punctual, and takes ownership of their work 
  • A team player who's happy to pitch in wherever needed 
  • Positive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting a great office culture 
  • In-office presence is required Monday-Friday during regular business hours

Pay Range

$25/hr. ($52,000 annually based on a 40-hour work week). Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications relative to role requirements. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and Illinois state wage and hour law.
