The role will provide strategic direction across AWS, SAP BDC, Agentic AI, AI SageMaker Studio, Dataiku, and associated data and integration technologies. The architect will also direct and guide data and AI engineers on architectural principles, future-state vision, and delivery roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the architecture vision and strategy for the Operations and Finance data domain.

  • Develop and maintain multi-year roadmaps aligned to business strategy, transformation priorities, and enterprise capabilities.

  • Establish target-state architecture, architecture principles, and reusable patterns for data, analytics, and AI solutions.

  • Incorporate external innovation and emerging technologies into the domain strategy where relevant.

  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security, governance, compliance, and architectural guardrails.

  • Direct and guide data and AI engineers on the vision, roadmap, standards, and architectural principles needed to execute effectively.

  • Own the reusable Data Product and AI Product Factory and enable the creation of AI-ready data products that can be scaled across the enterprise.

Qualifications

 Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience; Master’s degree with 9 years of experience; or PhD with 5 years of experience.

  • Strong experience in complex enterprise environments, preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, finance, or operations.

  • Proven experience with AWS-based data architectures and modern cloud data platform patterns.

  • Experience with SAP BDC or related SAP data and integration technologies.

  • Experience with AI/ML platforms such as Amazon SageMaker Studio, Dataiku, and Agentic AI solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to define roadmaps, influence strategy, and lead architecture governance.

  • Strong business acumen, including understanding of operational and financial processes.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior and executive leadership.

  • Ability to collaborate across business, technology, and external innovation partners.

Preferred:

  • 10 years of experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, analytics, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives across Operations and Finance.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and their application in future-state design.

  • Experience building reusable data products, AI products, and product factory operating models.

  • Experience in regulated industries with strong awareness of security, compliance, and quality requirements.

  • Ability to work in matrixed organizations and influence without direct authority.

Leadership Expectations

  • This role is expected to act as a strategic thought leader and trusted advisor, helping shape the long-term direction of data and AI capabilities across Operations and Finance.
