Boeing Global Services, Distribution Business, is looking for a dynamic Experienced/Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Hialeah, FL, Chandler, AZ, Dallas, TX or Wichita, KS.
The candidate will be part of a Planning team to support deployment and sustainment of the demand forecasting & inventory planning software tool, Servigistics / Planning Data Layer (SVG/PDL).
The candidate must have good technical/analytical problem-solving skills as well as good communication (verbal, written), presentation (WebEx, PowerPoint), and teaming (engagement) abilities. Key duties include simulating complex data models using state of the art planning tool called Servigistics(SVG) to sustain forecasting and inventory optimization activities. High quality data models will be used to deliver network level supply chain strategies that meet Planning metrics. Candidate will work with supply chain subject matter experts and technical leaders, acting as a focal to translating business needs into technical solutions. Success is measured via functioning software and useful inventory planning outcomes for business users.

Position Responsibilities:
- This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities focused on Boeing's Distributions Services
- Studies assigned Problem statements and business requirements and evaluates model performance
- Recommends Modeling techniques and adjustments existing to parameters to achieve objectives
- Connect systems and large data sets across business units and functions to develop forecast models that support shifting business and market trends
- Extract, clean, build and manage data sets to run models and simulations intended to root cause and address system issues
- Determines, defines, and deploys predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions to meet business requirements in forecast accuracy, inventory and stock transfer optimization, as well as other key processes
- Develop supply chain metrics to track progress to plan overtime and stress test the order pipeline for risks and opportunities
- Use data visualization to communicate complex data findings through charts, dashboards, and storytelling

- 5+ years of experience performing Statistical Analysis
- 5+ years of experience using research tools and methods
- 5+ years of experience using SQL for data analytics
