Job Description: 

Client Service Representative for Futures & Options and OTC Clearing

Grade; Sr. Ops Analyst 

Location; Central Chicago 

Reporting to; F&O and OTC Clearing Client Service Margin Manager 

Brief description of the role 

As a Client Service Representative (CSR) you will be the main point of contact for customers’ margin movements dealing in Futures & Options and OTC clearing. The primary functions of this role are to agree and settle client margin calls, process client cash and security movements, process account re-evaluations, investigate and follow up on failed margin movements, handle interest and all other margin related inquiries. This role will be supporting top tier clients, including Canadian French speaking clients, which will require outstanding customer service to enhance the overall relationships.

Functions: 

• Margin Call Management 

• Asset Transfer Initiation (cash and securities) 

• Cash reconciliations 

• Research of historical issues connected to client margin, collateral, interest processes

• Aged Margin call escalation 

• Ongoing review and maintenance of procedures 

• Coordination with internal teams to resolve client questions 

Qualifications: 

• College Degree 

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills 

• The candidate must be well versed in client execution and clearing, for both futures and derivatives products on global markets

• The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be an effective multi-tasker

• This role requires that the candidate be detailed oriented and have the ability to manage their time effectively to meet client needs within appropriate time frames

• The role will require the candidate to take and pass their Series 3 Exam within 3 months of hire date

• The candidate should be able to act without immediate supervision and have the ability to take ownership of tasks/processes

• The candidate should be able to evaluate the risk elements of a regulated industry and ensure tasks are carried out in a controlled fashion

• Candidate should have experience with GMI, as well as other systems associated with cleared Futures and Derivatives

• Role requires candidate to be proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Knowledge of industry rules and regulations, as well as common street wide business practices is a plus

• Experience working in a global environment with outsourced partners would also be considered as a benefit
