Job Description

Forbes Advisor is growing! We're looking for an FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. The FP&A Analyst is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports, supporting month-end close, analyzing financial results, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate understands performance-based revenue models and is comfortable analyzing large datasets to drive actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in month-end process; analysis of base-level data
  • Monthly reporting: Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports to senior management, offering insights into financial trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including monthly forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and regularly monitor budget adherence, identifying areas for cost optimization
  • Analyze revenue, cost drivers, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for risk mitigation to safeguard the company's financial stability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, support process improvements & decision-making, and drive financial best practices across the organization
  • Improve reporting processes, controls, and efficiencies
  • Develop and maintain reporting models and dashboards
  • Ad hoc requests and analyses will be frequent

Primary Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or digital marketing finance
  • Strong Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is a plus
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with impacted stakeholders
  • Strong capabilities in reporting and analysis 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, bring options and provide recommendation
  • Solutions driven and self-starter, who understands the importance of accuracy and timeliness make a difference and contribute to the success of the business
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
