Job Description

 WHAT YOU’LL DO (Job Responsibilities)

 You will work closely with the Commercial Team to support development of the overall business growth strategy, including market analysis, opportunity identification and execution of the sales growth plan. Assignments will vary but will relate to commercial operations, pricing, marketing, product sales, or other sales support functions. You can expect to:

  • Receive training, mentorship, and coaching from experienced commercial professionals
  • Grow your technical and commercial expertise within GE Vernova and expand your skills in new areas.
  • Experience a challenging assignment in the power generation industry focusing on power markets, customers and technology.
  • Contribute to real business growth initiatives.

Example of internship priorities:

  • Support market and customer analysis to identify growth opportunities across GE Vernova.
  • Support proposal and deal activity, including customer proposal development, risk analysis, contract evaluation and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with commercial teams on pricing, forecasting, and sales operations activities to improve business visibility and decision-making.
  • Participate in projects focused on improving commercial processes, tools, dashboards, and reporting.

  • Gas Power – Software & Controls Solutions: Greenville, SC; Longmont, CO
  • Advanced Nuclear: Wilmington, NC
  • Steam Power Services: Atlanta, GA

Electrification Segment:

  • Grid Solutions – Power Transmission: Charleroi, PA
  • Grid Solutions – Grid Systems Integration: Chicago, IL
  • Grid Software: Atlanta, GA

Wind Segment:

  • Onshore Wind: Schenectady, NY

EMPLOYMENT DATES: 

  • May/June 2027 to August 2027 (Summer) 

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering or technical science discipline as listed below. 
  • Eligible Majors: All Engineering Majors including Mechanical, Power Systems, Industrial, Electrical; Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering. Business majors considered with demonstrated technical aptitude.
  • Legal authorization to work in US. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

What will make you stand out (Desired Qualifications)

  • You have a passion for the Energy Industry and Customer Care
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
