Miller Cooper's Client HR Services team is seeking an experienced and adaptable HR professional to join our growing practice. In this role, you'll partner with organizations of varying sizes and industries, providing human resources support tailored to each client's specific needs.

You'll work closely with business leaders, employees, and fellow HR professionals to help clients build strong workplaces, remain compliant, and achieve their business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the client’s existing HR function, assist in creating the HR function, or supporting the client’s management team to implement and support HR initiatives. 
  • Provide hands-on HR support to client organizations on an interim or project basis.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, and retention efforts.
  • Administer and support payroll, benefits, and HRIS processes as needed.
  • Recommend and implement HR policies and best practices that align with client business goals
  • Manage multiple client engagements and priorities while maintaining exceptional service and responsiveness
  • Collaborate with internal Miller Cooper team members on client projects and consulting engagements

 

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field preferred
  • Certification in HR preferred (SHRM or HRCI)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in human resources, multi-state experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing day-to-day HR operations
  • Clear understanding of HR compliance and current employment law.
  • Experience making recommendations to company management both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll platforms, Microsoft Excel, and other business software applications
  • Ability to commute to clients in the Chicagoland area.

 Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including internal salary alignment, market data, and the candidate’s qualifications- including, but not limited to, specialty skills, prior relevant industry experience, and relevant degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, JD). The salary range estimated below is inclusive of all departments within the Firm, and offered salaries may vary within the given range depending on the specific department. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this level is $80,000 - $85,000, not including other competitive benefits.
