Director of HR
We’re looking for a Director of HR to manage Pangea Money Transfer’s global people functions. This role will be part of our senior team and report directly to the CEO.
You’re the right candidate if you’re a self-motivated, empathetic, organized and results-oriented person who has experience in all things People - health benefits, recruitment and retention, legal compliance, talent management, departmental development, employee relations, compensation, and general employment practices.

Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Pangea’s global talent acquisition including the management of the recruiting process from outreach to employee onboarding.
- Oversee and manage compensation, benefits programs and personnel policies that provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance and ensuring that the policies are administered effectively.
- Administering the benefits including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Designing and implementing learning and organizational development programs that enable all teams and levels to improve and acquire new skills and grow as professionals.
- Being an advisor and coach for all aspects of employee relations and counseling matters.
- Own people-related compliance related to all Federal and State regulations and all other labor compliance guidelines.
- Working alongside the leadership team in ensuring that Pangea remains a highly desired place to work.
Education & experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher and a minimum of 7 years of work experience in the field of human resources.
- Excellent communication skills and obsessive attention to detail.
- Top-notch time management and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under dynamic schedule constraints with frequent interruptions.
- Big passion for recruiting and building high performing teams.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of human resources principles and practices, labor laws, employee benefits, compliance, and reporting laws are required.
- Experience with fast-growing, small to mid-sized tech or start ups highly preferred.
- PHR/SPHR Certification is highly preferred.
