We're looking for a Compensation and Benefits Manager to help us build equitable, transparent total rewards programs that support our values and continually improve the employee experience.

About This Role

As a Compensation and Benefits Manager, you'll be a foundational part of Hologram's small but growing People team. We have an internally transparent salary formula that the whole team can view and ask questions about anytime, and we want to keep growing in transparency - in fact, it's one of our core company values.This role reports to the VP of People and will work closely with the People and Finance teams, as well as regularly coordinate with company executives and hiring managers.

What you'll do:
  • Own the build, maintenance and facilitation of all total rewards programs, processes, resources, training and tools to continually improve the employee experience
  • Ensure competitive, equitable, and accurate compensation, including salaries, commissions, equity options, bonuses, and any additional types of employee benefits
  • Ensure that compensation and benefits are in line with Hologram’s objectives, culture/values, and philosophy
  • Compare benefits and compensation plans, job classifications, equity options, and salaries through data and cost analyses; and make recommendations to managers
  • Strategize compensation and benefits with performance, including developing and maintaining career ladders for all departments
  • Initiate company-wide compensation policy review after each round of financing or as certain milestones are achieved
  • Research compensation and benefits policies and plans and monitor trends; source and review compensation data sources
  • Benchmark salaries and cost of living changes annually to make sure Hologram stays competitive in the marketplace
  • Work with Finance to maintain and update equity compensation according to relevant benchmarks and the structure of financing
  • Administer Hologram’s benefits programs (e.g. retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, insurance policies, etc.)
  • Manage the insurance enrollment, renewal, and distribution processes
  • Monitor government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends
  • Partner with Finance to ensure Hologram is compliant with state and federal laws and regulations

Helpful skills and experience:

  • Proven working experience in crafting total rewards plans at scale
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong philosophy and point of view on compensation and total rewards
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills a must)
  • Enthusiasm for innovation in the compensation function and for salary transparency
  • Prior experience in HR practices and compensation cycle management
  • Working knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis systems
  • Can handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Familiarity with various types of incentives and benefits
  • Knowledge of current labor rules and regulations
