The HR Systems and Processes Analyst is a motivated, self-starter with a passion to help make Avant a great place to work. This role is hands-on in providing support in the areas of HR Systems, benefits & payroll process documentation, and other ad hoc projects in the Talent space.
What you do at Avant:
- Responsible for day-to-day activities related to the HR system including reporting and data management
- Maintains regular payroll and benefit audits and assists with payroll by documenting and reconciling benefits deductions
- Audits and manages enrollment carrier connection files
- Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HR system upgrades or patches, as needed. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Documents process and results.
- Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing company needs.
- Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Analyze, update, and prepare invoice reconciliation files and assist in annual cost planning.
- Assists with various benefits, payroll and Talent projects as needed.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HR and HR Systems. Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques, continuously increasing both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.

- Minimum of two years of HR, Finance, Accounting or other relevant analytical experience
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; strong Excel skills required
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Prior experience working in a mid-to-large size company
