Summary

The Human Resources Engagement Coordinator will be the primary administrative support to the Human Resource department and will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of HR projects (Onboarding, Pre-Employment, Wellness and Employee Engagement). He/She will perform a wide variety of sensitive and confidential administrative support functions and will also serve as a liaison with internal and external audiences. They are responsible for collecting, prioritizing and screening internal and external HR correspondence. The Human Resources Engagement Coordinator will report to the Human Resources Manager.

Requirements

  • At least one year of either Human Resources, Accounting, or employee engagement experience
  • Experience planning, organizing, and leading company-related events is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related area
  • Highly competent end-user of relevant office technologies, software, and systems. Strong Microsoft Office skills and HRIS software skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict-resolution, team-building, and written and verbal communication. Able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and work successfully in a team environment
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced environment and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • Superior organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills to include process creation and process revision 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new employee on-boarding, pre-screening background checks and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate Employee Service Awards
  • Oversee the Company Wellness Program in coordination with Wellworks
  • Lead the Employee Recognition Program
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with presenting New Hire Orientation
  • Design and distribute employee surveys for SDI Presence use
  • Oversee SDI’s philanthropic efforts. Including but not limited to:
    • Assisting charity team in choosing (2) companywide philanthropies for the year
    • Coordinating SDI Executive Charity Day
  • Oversee SDITopia – SDI’s Employee Engagement Program. Including but not limited to:
    • Bi-annual company huddle ups
    • End of year holiday parties
    • Monthly birthday and anniversary celebrations
    • Team building activities
    • 5Ks, team building activities, etc.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition Manager with facilitating candidate interviews
  • Performs AdHoc Reporting in HRIS system as required
  • Backup to Human Resources manager and Payroll Administrator
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
