Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for supporting and maintaining core technology systems. Performs data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, analyzing process, and data flows for process improvement opportunities. Supports system upgrades, testing, and other data management and integration activities.
The Workday Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking Analyst is responsible for complex analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of the Workday system. This role will partner with the Payroll and Leave teams to promote use of Workday, test and implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and maximize the Workday system.
Responsibilities
- Partners with technology teams and third party consultants to develop and deploy data interfaces and systems integrations.
- Supports release management, reviews release summaries, and release readiness documents from solution vendors. Identifies enhancement solutions and impacts to downstream systems
- Recommends process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes. Designs and develops user procedures, guidelines, and documentation to support change management initiatives.
- Provides project management oversight for decentralized projects, programs, and initiatives.
- Researches system trends with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support.
- Provides direction, mentoring, and guidance to team members. Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, training, use of collaborative tools at work, cloud communities, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HR Technology application/tools knowledge.
- Workday expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation for Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
- Partners with functional counterparts to lead Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking system related projects.
- Configures Workday per requirements and participates in the full life cycle of the project from requirements gathering to go live.
- Establish a repeatable year end process for Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking Workday configuration including holiday calendars, pay schedules, and W-2 forms.
- Translates business needs into technical/functional requirements.
- Conducts system and process analysis throughout implementation lifecycles and for on-going support.
- Consults on best practices and approach to arrive at the desired result.
- Promote Workday relationships with customers, Workday Community, user groups and networks to identify and implement best practices.
- Conducts and facilitates complex Workday Payroll/Time/Absence system testing.
- Leads design and process improvement discussions to maximize our Workday investment while ensuring country-specific compliance to local regulatory standards.
- Develops training and documentation for HR Technology related processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Human Capital Management Systems
- In lieu of degree, 8 + years of experience in Human Capital Management Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- PHR Certification
- Human Capital Management Systems Management
- 4+ years of experience supporting or implementing Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking including advanced design and configuration, calculated fields, EIBs, testing, and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support multiple high visibility projects at one time
- Ability to work in fast paced team environment that embraces knowledge transfer and cross training
- Willingness to reach across teams to accomplish goals
- Strong organization and time management skills
