Vice President of People

It’s with that in mind that Hireology is looking to add a dedicated talent leader to our Leadership team, to help us build and grow our People function to support the amazing group of people we have here at Hireology. This leader will be tasked with establishing what the People team means to Hireology: from core HR functions, to learning and development, to talent acquisition, to diversity and inclusion, and compensation and culture-building. As a member of the senior leadership team, the person in this role with ensure that our People strategy to serve as a source of sustainable competitive advantage.
We’ve grown exponentially, and we will continue to grow even more - our VP of People will to help us preserve who we are and make sure all Hireologists are supported in their roles.
As the VP of People, you’ll be responsible for:
People Strategy: Our People strategy has been clear so far - lead as we would want to be led, be open, accountable, and transparent. And we are serious about our Core Values. As we grow, however, we need to make sure we have codified this People Strategy for the entire organization. We’ll need you to implement strategies to attract top talent and retain high performers to meet our ambitious goals. You will also need to drive and influence talent assessment and management throughout the organization with the goal of achieving a culture of learning and excellence.
Leadership Development: Together with the CEO, you’ll lead us in defining what it is to be an effective and compassionate leader at Hireology. And then you’ll ensure our leaders are living up to and leading according to those guidelines.
Diversity and Inclusion: We want to ensure all Hireologists feel welcome, included, respected, and empowered to speak up and contribute. Working closely with our Leadership team, you’ll chart the course for greater diversity and more frequent and meaningful conversations and training around how to be a truly inclusive workplace.
Compensation, Benefits, and Leveling: Hireology strives to pay fairly and ensure our benefits keep Hireologists happy, healthy, and balanced. You’ll be responsible for understanding market trends with compensation and benefits and ensuring our policies meet or beat those trends.
Compliance & Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues in the best interest of employees and the organization. Use experience in employment law and legal issues related to human resources and serve as a liaison with legal firms as needed. Ensure company HR policies and practices comply with Federal, State and local employment laws and regulations.
Culture: Drive initiatives and programs to align and support a positive, diverse and inclusive corporate culture. Oversee internal company communications in support of a transparent and inclusive work environment.

Creative and Curious - this is a new role, so you’ll need to be pioneering and chart our course. And we’ve been at it for awhile, so we need you to be curious to understand what has or has not worked at Hireology and other similarly styled and aged workplaces.
Metrics Driven - we’re passionate about data and trends and managing to key performance indicators. We want you to be as passionate about our bottoms-up approach to managing the business.
Communication - you need to be able to tell Hireology’s story in all types of arenas and audiences. We need you to make sure people understand and embrace the People strategy and your ability to effectively communicate in a large group setting is a major factor.
Integrity - not negotiable in this role or any at Hireology. You must have the highest level of integrity and discretion.

A Human Resources professional with at least (10) years of experience, who has strategically and tactically evaluated and implemented sophisticated HR-related programs and initiatives
Has shown ability to build consensus around strategy and tactics
Proven ability to create and execute a talent acquisition strategy that delivers the results
Builder and a do-er. Must be willing to envision the goals and also roll up their sleeves and execute without a large supporting team.
Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to integrate company goals into department functions and strategic planning
BS or BA with MBA, MA, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
Strong financial and analytical acumen
Experience in both a larger, best-practices company and, a smaller, more entrepreneurial company
Demonstrated through leadership through engagement with the broader HR/CHRO community
Personal style which develops a team atmosphere with colleagues and displays a confident but approachable persona
Ability to create and deliver engaging messages in a large-group format (100+)
