Job Summary:

This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Information Technology Consultant 3: Video Producer position for the Division of Ecampus at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Division of Ecampus is a growing, innovative, and collaborative organization with a commitment to providing high-quality online education. The division extends Oregon State University’s exceptional learning experiences including microcredentials, certificates, and degrees available to students throughout Oregon and around the world.

The division includes Ecampus, offering over 130 online and hybrid degree programs; the Ecampus Research Unit (ECRU), conducting and supporting original research in online teaching and learning; the Corporate and Workforce Education Unit (CWE), creating pathways for learners employed by collaborators in business and government; the Open Educational Resources Unit (OER), aiding faculty in adopting open course materials; and the Alternative Credential Unit (ACU), developing short-form educational opportunities.

The Video Producer will be part of a creative, collaborative team shaping the future of online education. Our Multimedia team partners with faculty and subject matter experts to transform ideas into engaging, high-quality learning experiences through video, audio, animation, and other emerging multimedia technologies. At the Division of  Ecampus, you’ll work on diverse projects ranging from studio productions and field-based storytelling. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, explore emerging technologies and production practices, and contribute to a team that values innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Ecampus currently operates on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce Video Content – Plan, film, record, and edit video/ audio content for online courses both in studio and on location.
  • Manage Video Production Projects – Plan and coordinate multiple concurrent video projects, managing schedules, resources, equipment, stakeholders, and competing deadlines from pre-production through final delivery.
  • Collaborate with Faculty and Subject Matter Experts – Consult with faculty, subject matter experts, and project collaborators to develop effective video and multimedia solutions that support online learning and storytelling.
  • Ensure Quality and Accessibility – Apply university branding and accessibility standards to video productions, including coordinating transcription and captioning workflows to meet WCAG AA requirements.
  • Provide Technical and Creative Expertise – Operate and troubleshoot video production equipment and software, develop creative approaches to production challenges, and contribute to decisions regarding video equipment and software.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills of technology and information systems generally obtained through an AA degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified course work in applicable fields of study and at least one year of related work experience.

  • Demonstrated work experience and skills in video editing and motion graphics.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder or similar software.
  • Experience and skills in video filming and production equipment. 
  • Proven project management experience and ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team and across multiple teams/units. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated work experience with process documentation, training or technical writing.
  • Demonstrable contribution to promoting and enhancing inclusive excellence.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, marketing, broadcast journalism or related field, or an equivalent amount of training and experience to obtain the foundation of knowledge and skills in media production.
  • Skilled and/or trained in multimedia design and/or other animation tools. 
  • Experience with enterprise level video storage and networking systems.
  • Demonstrates experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Experience with color correction.
  • Experience with audio recording, dialogue and music editing, and post-audio workflows.
  • Experience with video production systems, including switching and recording via Blackmagic systems or similar hardware and software.
  • Experience producing content for online learning.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience with customer service or client relations.
Working Conditions/Schedule:Ecampus currently operates on a hybrid schedule, Tuesdays and Thursdays are currently designated in-office days as well as additional days as needed.
The hybrid schedule can be changed at any time based on organizational needs.
This position may require travel.
This position may require working events after hours or on the weekends.
This position may occasionally be required to assist other video producers at locations off campus.
During these times the position may be required to pack, transport, unload and set up 20-50lbs. of video production equipment in a variety of working environments.Salary Range:$63,624 - $103,128Anticipated Start Date:2026-10-12Anticipated End Date:
