Description

For more than 60 years, Tyndale has helped readers discover the life-giving truths of God’s Word. Today we’re one of the largest independently owned Christian publishers in the world. Though our business has grown, our mission remains the same: to open God’s Word to as many as possible in language they can relate to and understand.

The Inside Sales Account Representative grows Tyndale's sales revenue across assigned accounts through remote selling. The role builds existing smaller and mid-size accounts into larger, sustained business and develops new business opportunities across market channels, while supporting the National Account Managers and Territory Managers on larger National Accounts. Together these efforts expand Tyndale's account base and advance overall sales goals.

What You'll Do

Sales & Account Growth

  • Develop new business across market channels — independently prospecting, opening, and establishing new accounts, and representing Tyndale at trade shows as needed to generate new opportunities.
  • Grow assigned accounts and own their sales results — building existing smaller and mid-size accounts into larger, sustained business, and supporting the National Account Managers and Territory Managers on larger National Accounts.
  • Grow sales of new Tyndale titles to meet or exceed sales goals — presenting through remote sales calls and CRM campaigns across release cycles, participating in new-product presentation meetings, and preparing seasonal catalogs, suggested buy quantities, and author-signing opportunities.
  • Grow Tyndale backlist distribution and sales across assigned accounts, building deep product knowledge across Tyndale's title lines to identify and convert backlist opportunities.
  • Build expertise and manage Tyndale's promotional sales programs, equipping buyers with the product and program information needed to act on them.

Market Insight & Account Enablement

  • Deliver quantifiable feedback on sales potential and content strength to publishing staff, facilitating data-driven product and sales decisions.
  • Equip and train customer account staff to sell Tyndale products effectively — recommending online staff training, promoting Tyndale's Bible product training and New Living Translation (NLT) messaging, and delivering periodic account training on Tyndale's product lines.

Sales Administration

  • Maintain CRM (HubSpot) data integrity and hygiene — logging each sales call, journaling account notes, and setting next-step follow-up plans — so account records stay accurate and current.
  • Prepare account product presentations using Tyndale's digital catalog and title-presentation tools (Edelweiss, Datalink).
  • Keep management informed of territory needs and respond promptly to customer and internal requests, operating within Tyndale's terms and discount policies.

Skills & Competencies

  • Self-starter who manages time effectively across varied responsibilities and takes initiative to locate and close sales opportunities.
  • Builds effective working relationships with trade customers and with Tyndale personnel across departments.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively- by phone, Zoom, and email
  • Brings creativity and initiative to remote selling approaches.
  • Motivated to build and grow a career in sales.

Qualifications & Experience

  • College degree required; sales experience a plus
  • Spanish language fluency a plus.
  • General technical aptitude, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a CRM (preferably HubSpot), and the ability to learn Tyndale's systems, including the ERP system (JDE) and digital catalog and title-presentation tools (Edelweiss).
  • Ability to travel approximately 5%, with travel expenses managed within company policy.
  • Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God’s Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith
