Manages and grows existing inside-sales accounts while prospecting new business in the industrial, commercial, and food packaging markets. Develops customer plans, pricing, sales strategies, and value-selling approaches; evaluates inquiries and opportunities; monitors competitors; negotiates with customers; provides consultative support; and maintains thorough follow-up and records.
Actively seeks to increase sales volume servicing existing accounts; growing sales at existing accounts and identifying new accounts in a highly competitive environment servicing the industrial, commercial and food industries rigid packaging needs.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manages inside sales customer base
- Understands customer’s business and creates plans, pricing and strategies to fill the marketplace
- Fields new business inquiries, determine the opportunities and handles accordingly
- Prospects new business
- Understanding of competitor’s products, processes and capabilities
- Consults and adds value as a resource to the customer, be proactive as a valued partner
- Team player who can help the sales organization achieve overall results
Requirements:
- 4-year degree or relevant experience
- 2+ years experience in sales or related background
- Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies
- Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of financial and business plans
- Ability to develop value-selling skills
- Strategic thought processes
- Ability to develop strong negotiating skills
- Thorough follow-up and record-keeping skills
