Intern With Geneva Trading

Geneva Trading is looking for ambitious, entrepreneurial students to join our core development team for a c++/software engineering internship next summer. Our internship program is a fast-paced, dynamic 10-week full-time paid position that gives you hands-on experience in the trading industry. Our interns are expected to design solutions to complex problems and work on projects that directly impact the firm. You’ll receive mentorship by industry pros and will participate in corporate training, teambuilding activities, and firmwide summer socials to strengthen your connection with other interns and full-time employees. The summer internship program is a proven path to earn full-time opportunities at Geneva Trading after graduation.

As a C++ Developer (Intern) You Will

  • Develop, test, and deploy software solutions under the guidance and support of senior technologists
  • Work with large data sets and research innovative techniques to solve complex problems with middle and back office technologists, researchers, analysts, and project managers
  • Communicate your ideas to a larger audience and incorporate feedback immediately for effective collaboration

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program focused on Computer Science or adjacent field
  • Graduation dates between April 2024 and August 2026
  • Excellent C++ programming and design skills
  • A strong understanding of foundational computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, etc.
  • Exposure with network programming (TCP/IP) and multi-threaded applications
  • Possess an intuitive curiosity to learn and implement new ideas, be disciplined in your approach to work, and unafraid to take initiative or ask questions

Preferred Qualification

  • Knowledge of data pipelines, relational databases, data storage, and Linux
  • Prior internship experience in data engineering or software development

Compensation:

Hourly Range: $32.50-37.50/hr

The final hourly rate will be dependent on the successful candidate's skills, experience, education, and qualifications. 

This role is a temporary position and therefore is not eligible for Geneva Trading’s full-time employee benefits program.
