Lead Supply Chain Planning Analyst

What You'll Do

AT&T is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Lead Supply Chain Planning Analyst to support enterprise supply chain planning activities across multiple suppliers, products, and business functions. This role serves as a subject matter expert responsible for optimizing supply chain performance through data-driven analysis, demand and supply planning, inventory management, supplier collaboration, and strategic decision support.

The successful candidate will lead complex initiatives that improve forecasting accuracy, drive inventory optimization, mitigate supply risks, and support business-critical network and operational priorities. This position regularly collaborates with senior leadership and stakeholders across Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Logistics, Operations, and Network organizations.

Supply Planning & Purchase Planning

  • Develop and maintain supply plans that support demand requirements while optimizing inventory investments.
  • Generate SKU-level demand and purchase forecasts utilizing historical data, business intelligence, and market trends.
  • Monitor inventory positions and procurement requirements to ensure continuity of supply and product availability.
  • Inventory Optimization & Capital Stewardship
  • Develop strategies that balance service levels, inventory turns, and capital efficiency.
  • Analyze inventory health, excess and obsolete inventory, and stocking policies to improve financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize inventory investments while reducing operational costs.

Shortage Management & Risk Mitigation

  • Proactively identify supply risks, shortages, and constraints that may impact business operations
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supply challenges and improve resiliency.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and strategic partners.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, quality metrics, and service levels.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.

Demand Planning & Forecast Validation

  • Conduct detailed demand analysis to improve forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness.
  • Validate forecasts through collaboration with business partners and operational teams.
  • Analyze demand variability and recommend planning adjustments to improve outcomes.

Logistics, Fulfillment & Distribution Management

  • Coordinate logistics activities to support timely, efficient, and cost-effective distribution.
  • Collaborate with logistics providers and internal fulfillment teams to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance service delivery and business performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Operations, Sales, Engineering, Network, and other business partners to align supply chain strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Lead planning discussions and influence stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.
  • Present business insights, risks, performance trends, and improvement opportunities to leadership teams.

Data Analytics & Decision Support

  • Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational insights.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and planning models that support strategic decision-making.
  • Translate large data sets into actionable business recommendations.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve supply chain processes, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Support automation and digital transformation efforts across planning and supply chain operations.

Strategic Network Support

  • Support strategic network initiatives through planning expertise, operational readiness analysis, and supply chain recommendations.
  • Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to ensure supply readiness for business-critical deployments.
  • Contribute to long-term planning efforts that support organizational growth and transformation.

AI Fluency & Digital Innovation

  • Demonstrate proficiency utilizing AI-enabled tools to improve business outcomes.
  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot, Claude, OpenAI models, and approved AI technologies to enhance analysis, forecasting, reporting, planning, and decision-making.
  • Champion responsible AI adoption and identify opportunities to improve productivity through digital innovation.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting complex supply chain environments involving multiple suppliers, product categories, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience utilizing data to develop strategic recommendations and influence business outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis applications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or related Supply Chain certification.
  • Experience with ERP, forecasting, inventory management, procurement, and supply planning systems.
  • Experience developing dashboards, automation solutions, and business intelligence reporting.
  • Experience working with AI-enabled business productivity and analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting large-scale operational transformation or network initiatives.
