Litigation Assistant – Calendaring Job Description

Job Title: Litigation Assistant – Calendaring

Type of Position: Full Time

Location: Fully Remote

Pay:  $21/hr- $32/hr

Job Description:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

        Track Statute of Limitation deadlines

        Generate a daily/weekly report with results for all assigned tasks

        Prepare/send documents for filing through attorney service & track service of process

        Manage team calendar

        Calendar mail

        Prepare/respond to a variety of discovery notices: depositions, defense medical examinations, inspection demands

        Coordinate depositions and expert depositions with defense counsel

        Coordinate nurse observers & court reporters/videographers for DMEs, depositions and trial

        Strict compliance with schedule of assigned appointments

        Use of Firm's software (training will be provided) for data entry of new clients

        Scan the documentation needed for the case and save it into the Firm's system

Requirements:

        At least 3 years of civil litigation experience

        Very well organized

        Bachelor’s degree

        Good and consistent follow-up skills

        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

        Ability to handle large volume of cases and multiple cases at a time

        Ability to work well independently and in a team setting

        Paralegal Certification is a plus

        Knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing software

        Prior experience with Google Suite is a plus
