Job Description
Snap Finance is seeking an experienced Manager of Card Compliance Operations to join our growing Seen Card Risk & Compliance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in U.S. consumer credit card laws and regulations who enjoys partnering with legal, operations, bank partners, and business leaders to ensure regulatory obligations are met with precision and consistency.
Reporting to the Head of Card Risk & Compliance, the Manager, Card Compliance Operations will oversee the day-to-day execution of critical compliance and legal support functions for our credit card business. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor across the organization, helping ensure regulatory requests are handled accurately, customer issues are appropriately resolved, and our compliance program continues to operate at the highest standards.
While this position may be performed remotely within the Continental United States, candidates located in the Salt Lake City or Chicago metropolitan areas are preferred.
How you'll make an impact:- Manage and oversee debt validation and cease-and-desist reviews to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state consumer protection laws.
- Review and respond to customer complaints and support the Voice of Customer (VOC) team submissions, identifying trends and partnering with stakeholders to drive corrective actions.
- Coordinate responses to subpoenas, record collection requests, attorney inquiries, document requests, and other legal process.
- Review, coordinate, and fulfill law enforcement requests, including search warrants and other legal demands.
- Serve as a Records Custodian for regulatory, legal, and litigation matters.
- Track, review, and facilitate closure of compliance issues in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Coordinate recurring reporting for bank partners, including monthly service reviews, dashboards, issue reporting, and other governance materials.
- Manage and coordinate monthly testing requests and information requests from bank partners.
- Review and approve Knowledge Base (KB) content to ensure regulatory accuracy and operational consistency.
- Coordinate internal audits, regulatory examinations, and external audit requests, including tracking deliverables through completion.
- Provide day-to-day compliance consultation and guidance to business partners on operational and regulatory matters.
- Partner closely with Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, Customer Service, and bank partners to ensure compliance obligations are consistently met.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Compliance Management System.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in compliance, legal operations, risk management, or audit within financial services.
- Significant experience supporting U.S. consumer credit card products, including private label and/or Visa/Mastercard programs.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable consumer financial laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- Truth in Lending Act (TILA) / Regulation Z
- Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA)
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
- Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), where applicable
- UDAAP principles
- Relevant state consumer protection laws
- Experience managing legal requests such as subpoenas, attorney correspondence, search warrants, and document production.
- Familiarity with bank partner oversight and regulatory expectations within a fintech environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and exercise sound judgment when interpreting regulatory requirements.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a fintech or sponsor-bank environment.
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations, internal audits, and compliance issue management.
- Knowledge of Compliance Management System (CMS) principles and regulatory expectations.
