About the role...
As our first Lifecycle & Retention Marketing hire, this role will be instrumental in owning the full user journey from onboarding, to engagement, to loyalty across our three-sided marketplace of Brands, Creators, and Shoppers. This role is key to driving long-term user value at ShopMy, increasing LTV, and reducing churn. You’ll identify and create automated, segmented campaigns across email, in-app, push, and other channels that deliver the right message at the right time. Reporting directly to our Head of Marketing, this is a high-impact, high-visibility role with opportunity to shape and launch this function from the ground up and work cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, education, and sales, and propel our company to the next stage.
Roles and responsibilities…
- Strategic Vision: Own end-to-end lifecycle strategy, mapping key moments and designing campaigns to activate, retain, and re-engage users
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, design, education, customer success, and sales to define user segments and trigger-based journeys
- Implementation: Ideate and execute multi-channel campaigns with a test-and-learn mindset
- Comprehensive Experience: Build and manage automated email flows: onboarding, feature adoption, winback, upsell, referral, etc.
- Performance Tracking: Establish metrics and KPIs including improvements to activation rate and upsell revenue, continuously monitor performance, and make data-informed adjustments to achieve business outcomes
Your qualifications….
- Proven Experience: 3–6 years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing roles, ideally in a high-growth tech startup or Marketplace / SaaS environment
- Technical Expert: Hands-on experience with email lifecycle tools (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo, Customer.io, etc)
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to inform product decisions and track performance metrics
- Collaborative: Excellent cross-functional skills, with a history of working closely with engineering, design, and other teams to achieve product success.
- Executional Excellence: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
The provided salary range is base salary, exclusive of bonus potential or commission and is a good faith estimate of cash compensation. ShopMy is flexible pending candidate's experience and how our business needs evolve throughout the search. Every employee of ShopMy receives equity on top of cash compensation!
