Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering & Operations Production Engineering Organization is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Manufacturing Engineers (Mid or Senior level) to support MRO efforts in Jacksonville, FL.
This position is in a Manufacturing environment across multiple platforms. In this role, you will plan and lead department/organization processes for developing, implementing, and maintaining various manufacturing installation plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration in an Installation/Assembly environment.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
  • Develop and integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Review and approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.
  • Develop tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Manage tools from initial design to end of use disposition.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues.
  • Provide producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.
  • Develop integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Draft, update and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Interface and supervise Manufacturing Engineers and Planning personnel for the daily execution of assignments.
  • Provide technical onboarding of new hires.
  • Track status and completion of multiple engineering efforts to keep Management informed.
  • Provide Shop and Structures support.
  • Read and interpret Engineering data.
  • Refine, validate, coordinate, and implement conceptual designs and manage the program architecture for builds.
  • Conduct complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capabilities match requirements.
  • Resolve complex technical problems.
  • Serve as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria, and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.
  • Lead advanced design solutions and support research of new product or business opportunities.
  • Deploy company Lean Enterprise analysis methods.
  • Document and communicating producibility best practices.
  • Provide guidance to others through structured mentoring.
  • Develop manufacturing plans and oversee plan optimization.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5+ years of experience with following the Engineering Bills of Material (BOMs) Configuration Management Process.
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems such as Product Data Manager (PDM) and Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP.)
  • 5+ years of experience in Production Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • 10+ years of production engineering experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Modification Repair Overhaul (MRO.)
  • Proven leadership of a team of diverse skillsets.
  • Prior Manufacturing Engineering and Planning experience.
  • 5+ years of experience involving direct planning or installation activity associated to assembly or manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills & ability to work in dynamic development environment.
  • Ability to work and lead independently within a team environment.
  • Experience with F/A-18, 737NG, or 767 platform.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay range for Mid- level (Level 3): $103,700 - $140,300
Pay range for Senior level (Level 4): $126,650 - $171,350
