Our client is hiring a Mechanical Engineer. Interested candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent with at least 3 years of experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer
- Utilize SolidWorks to develop conceptual machine layouts for the foods industry
- Use SolidWorks or AutoCAD to detail the machine designs and provide exploded view drawings as well as Bills of Materials
- Be responsible for identifying the motor requirements for the conveyors including rotational torque calculations
- Serve as a liaison with the electrical engineering with the integration of HMI and PLC controls as well as robotics for pick and place applications
- Be a technical liaison if required to work with customers on their design parameters to incorporate their specific requirements into your machine designs
- Be available for on-site commissioning of your machines at the customer locations
Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
- MS Office proficiency is a plus including the use of MS Excel as needed
- A knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Compensation for the Mechanical Engineer
The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges from $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 depending on experience.
