  • Review and guide work from external engineering consultants

  • Develop and maintain design standards, specifications, and basis of design documents

  • Select and evaluate mechanical equipment with vendors and manufacturers

  • Ensure designs meet mechanical and plumbing codes, standards, and utility requirements

  • Coordinate with internal teams, utilities, AHJs, and construction partners

  • Support projects through design reviews, permitting, and construction phases

  • Conduct site visits for assessments, design validation, and construction support

  • Identify improvements to cost, quality, schedule, and design consistency across projects

What We’re Looking For
  • Communicates clearly and shares information needed for decisions

  • Takes ownership of work and follows through on commitments

  • Applies sound judgment when balancing performance, cost, and schedule

  • Works effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners

  • Identifies issues early and brings practical solutions

  • Maintains consistency and attention to detail across multiple projects

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field

  • 4–7 years of experience designing mechanical systems for large-scale facilities

  • Experience with cooling systems and mechanical infrastructure in data centers or similar environments

  • Working knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes and standards

  • Experience coordinating with external design consultants

  • Familiarity with tools such as Bluebeam, Excel, Smartsheet, MS Office, or similar

  • Ability to review technical designs and support construction execution

Preferred:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
