Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Modeler and Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Level 3 or 4) for the Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) programto join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
As an MBSE Modeler and SME at BDS, this position will be responsible for requirements development, decomposition, and allocation across the PTES program. This position is the single focal point responsible for requirements management, verification, and validation on the program functionally reporting to the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Lead as well as the program's System Architect and Chief Engineer.

Subject Matter Expert (Level 4) Summary pay range: $136,850 - $185,150

Position Responsibilities:
- Manage system requirements development, decomposition, and allocation
- Develop and execute requirement verification strategies, test procedures, and produce corresponding test reports
- Work with customers and stakeholders on system behavior
- Perform system verification and validation of requirements
- Create system analysis and project engineering artifacts (Technical Performance Measures, Risk, Issue, & Opportunity Management, SEIT performance/leading indicator metrics)
- Resolve technical challenges as they arise
- Develop and deliver SEIT products such as data deliverables, architecture models/documents, requirements specifications, reports, etc.
- Generate and maintain design documentation
- Updates and maintains the PTES MBSE model to reflect the "as-is" design
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience working with requirements or verifications procedures
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Model Based Engineering tools and languages such as Enterprise Architecture, Cameo, MagicDraw, UML/SysML, 3DX, CATIA
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with MBSE model domains (structural, behavioral, requirements, parametric, traceability)
- Experience with the modeling elements associated with each domain
- with Jira Xray plugin for test plan and procedure development and test execution
- Ability to travel to remote locations for test executions
- with Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect product
- with REST APIs
- with messaging middleware (e.g., Kafka)
- with microservice architecture and containerization
- Must be competent in the usage of at least one modeling tool
