Responsibilities

The Operations Finance Analyst provides financial leadership and analytical support for an assigned manufacturing facility by delivering accurate financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and operational insights that enable informed business decisions. Partners cross-functionally with plant leadership to improve financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and support operational excellence. Drives financial accuracy through cost accounting, forecasting, and capital analysis while exercising independent judgment to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and support achievement of plant and organizational objectives.

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Support the month-end close process and prepare accurate plant financial reports.
  • Prepare required general ledger account reconciliations to support financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation of plant budgets and financial statements.
  • Provide management with performance reporting and financial analysis that supports plant and company objectives.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reporting to address business needs.

Inventory & Manufacturing Finance

  • Lead monthly cycle count closeouts, including inventory analysis and adjustments, to support accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting.
  • Partner with Plant Controllers to analyze manufacturing variances and support the accuracy of bills of material, production rates, and standard costs.

Compliance & Business Partnership

  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Communicate financial and operational information effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Manage multiple priorities and stakeholder needs while maintaining accuracy and meeting key business deadlines.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • 0-2 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably supporting manufacturing operations

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field in progress or completed.
  • CPA or CMA certification in progress or completed.
  • Experience with corporate finance and/or manufacturing operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong financial analysis, organizational, and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and influence across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a logical and systematic manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with varied internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Ability to contribute effectively to highly collaborative, high-performing teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical financial information clearly in both verbal and written formats
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet-based financial analysis, including array formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with common business productivity tools and experience working with financial reporting and analysis systems.
  • Work collaboratively with plant leadership, finance partners, auditors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
