Hi, welcome to PerkSpot. We’re looking for a creative and experienced Director to oversee the launch and maintenance of our newest Travel product arm.

Being the General Manager of the Travel arm is a unique position in which you’ll be able to completely own operations and logistics for what will become one of PerkSpot’s most exciting and lucrative product categories.

Meet the Marketplace Team
The Marketplace Team at PerkSpot is made of talented individuals with the success of the PerkSpot platform top of mind. As a Manager on this team, you’ll work with leadership to plan, launch, and manage operations of PerkSpot’s brand new Travel arm. Your understanding of the travel industry, coupled with exceptional product and commercial knowledge, will enable you to strategically map out our affiliate partner choices and choose merchants that will provide the best value, to both PerkSpot and our members.
Life as the Director of Travel Experience:
- Learning the PerkSpot business and the overall goals of the Travel program
- Using their expertise, knowledge, and familiarity with the Travel marketplace to make sound decisions regarding affiliate partners and deal structuring
- Selecting merchant partners for every category of the Travel program (hotels, theme parks, car rentals, etc.)
- Mapping out and overseeing the member journey from beginning to end; identifying pain points and working with internal teams to resolve them
- Identifying key OKRs for the Travel program; compiling and presenting regular reports on the program’s efficacy and progress
- Exploring new merchant partner categories and evaluating their benefits for PerkSpot
- Functioning as PerkSpot’s subject matter expert on all things Travel
- Prioritizing PerkSpot’s value and success; constantly thinking of ways to improve the product
- Attending regular team and staff meetings to go over company goals, success benchmarks, and sales strategies
What we’re looking for:
- At least 8+ years of experience in travel coordination and operations; experience with loyalty or affiliate programs strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Background within the high-growth tech space, as well as car rentals and hotels
- Team management experience strongly preferred
- Excellent business development, collaboration, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; experience presenting findings in layman’s terms to C-level decision makers
- Ability to map out and simplify workflows
- Visible empathy and understanding of the consumer experience; ability to easily translate this to actionable decisions
- Organized and efficient style of working; ability to manage one’s own projects and their deadlines
- Desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
- Proven understanding of PerkSpot’s values as a whole and a willingness to work hard to achieve company goals
Your First Few Months
Beginning on your first day, we will see you as the expert in Travel at PerkSpot, and we’ll trust you to teach us about the industry’s competitive landscape. First, you will work with the entire Marketplace team and PerkSpot leadership to understand the Travel program’s goals and map out its OKRs. Then, you will select the right industry partner to work with in each vertical, plan out the product development strategy, and work with the Marketing team to create and execute a communications strategy. After that, you will start hiring and training your ideal go-to-market team. Starting from your first day you’ll become an integral part of the PerkSpot team, and use your industry knowledge to launch and grow a main product arm within our business.
