EDI Specialist, Zoro

Primary Function:
This role will service our Supplier Partners that have chosen to integrate their ordering systems with Zoro through the use of eProcurement. This allows Zoro and our supplier partners to electronically control purchases, order acknowledgments, shipments, and invoices between the businesses. The EDI Specialist will provide exceptional support for EDI partners and internal business partners by identifying and resolving issues in a timely and thorough manner. The EDI specialist will not only resolve issues quickly but also assist in identifying root causes, data trends, and systematic fixes to prevent future issues. The EDI Specialist will also serve as support and backup for Sr EDI Specialist Role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sr EDI Specialist to resolve EDI issues with Zoro’s Supplier Partners and enhance their current EDI connection with Zoro.
- Oversees EDI data records with Supplier Partners to record any errors and provides resolution plans for any failures.
- Ability to present these findings and recommendations in a clear format to both vendors and internal teams and then work collaboratively with Supplier Partners to resolve issues and optimize operations.
- Works cross-functionally with other areas of the business (Transportation, Category Management, and Customer Service) to ensure an awesome customer experience.
- Utilize strong analytic skills to troubleshoot complex system issues and utilize reporting skills in order to analyze data and synthesize information clearly in order to create action plans with vendors.
- Combines service and systems skills with eProcurement knowledge to uncover Supplier Partner needs and navigate to root cause solutions.
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with internal and external vendor partners while serving as a lead for partners on EDI platform and EDI related issues or concerns.
- Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and serve as a lead in continuous improvement projects and workstreams.
- Assist the Sr EDI Specialist in analyzing and reviewing specifications used for enhancements and extensions in EDI applications, interfaces, and mappings.
- Assist the Sr EDI Specialist with coordinating EDI testing, implementations, and upgrades for new vendors recently onboarded.
- Partner with Zoro teams and external EDI providers to consistently review and develop guidelines and specifications for EDI data exchanges.
Qualifications:
- Strong competence in the use of technology, EDI Systems, and software applications.

- Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong ability to multi-task and coordinate procedures in stressful situations.
- Proficiency with required software programs including NetSuite, Google Sheets, Google Slides.
- Professional in appearance, attitude, and action.
- Two to three years of industry experience working with EDI technologies.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to easily read and understand complex documents and procedures are necessary as well.
