The Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of various company activities and events, fostering and promoting a positive employee experience within our Chicago Headquarters. In addition, this role serves as an integral member of the Workplace team, overseeing various administrative and office related tasks.
What you’ll do in this role:
- Plan and facilitate all firm-wide events, activities, and team-buildings activities from conception to execution.
- Oversee event related budgets and contracts.
- Manage event related participant surveys; collect, synthesize, and present gathered data to leadership.
- Create office related marketing material for various DRW sponsored events and initiatives and manage event related communications platforms.
- Maintain relationships with vendors, serving as principal point of contact for selected third-party vendors.
- Support cross-functional teams, such as Reception, Global Travel Management, Talent, and Communications on an as-needed basis.
- Serve as principal point of contact for in-office employee experience initiatives.
- Maintain conference rooms and employee wellness & amenity areas.
- Manage and distribute annual vendor holiday gifts/cards.
- Assist with acknowledging employee milestones.
- Frequently check office and event supply stock; reorder supplies and materials when needed.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
You’ll feel right at home if you possess/are:
- High school diploma or higher education.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- An ability to demonstrate flexibility, willingness to alter work schedule to accommodate necessary job functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proficiency in MS Outlook for email and calendaring and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Confidence, initiative, creativity, and the ability to learn new things quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Detail oriented and extremely accurate.
- A proven ability to multitask, prioritize and take direction from multiple sources.
- knowledge in Photoshop, Canva or other design platforms is an asset.
