Outside Sales Representative – Chicago & Chicagoland

Full-Time | Base Salary ($65,000) + Uncapped Commission | Field-Based B2B Sales

Nelbud is looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative to grow new business throughout Chicago and the surrounding Chicagoland area.

This is a true hunter sales role for someone who enjoys prospecting, getting in front of customers, building relationships, and closing new business. You’ll own the front end of the sales cycle, developing new commercial customers for Nelbud’s fire protection, kitchen exhaust cleaning, grease management, and related facility services.

If you’re energized by building your own pipeline, winning new accounts, and having your earnings directly tied to your performance, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do
  • Prospect and develop new B2B customers throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs
  • Build your own pipeline through cold outreach, in-person prospecting, referrals, networking, and other business-development activities
  • Meet with business owners, facility managers, operations leaders, and other decision-makers
  • Conduct site visits and identify customer needs
  • Present customized service solutions
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new business
  • Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales process
  • Partner with operations and technical teams to ensure a smooth customer handoff
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and performance in CRM systems
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.

  • 1+ year of B2B outside sales or new business development experience preferred
  • Proven ability to prospect, cold call, and generate new business
  • Comfortable with in-person, field-based selling
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing an independent territory
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Chicagoland territory

Experience selling commercial services, fire protection, HVAC, facility services, construction, mechanical services, industrial services, restoration, building maintenance, or other B2B solutions is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $65,000 base salary
  • Uncapped commission with $100,000+ earning potential
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Support from experienced operations and technical teams
  • Career growth opportunities
Why Nelbud?

For more than 40 years, Nelbud has helped businesses protect their people, property, and facilities through fire protection, kitchen exhaust cleaning, grease management, and related commercial services.

This role gives you the opportunity to build a territory, develop your own book of business, and directly influence your earnings and growth.
