Role: Paid Media Specialist
Location: Chicago, IL – In-Person (3/days week)
Reports to: Head of Marketing Operations

tastytrade is hiring a Paid Media Specialist to support the planning, execution, and reporting of paid media campaigns. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in paid media and is comfortable across the full campaign lifecycle, from brief to creative to launch to reporting. This person should bring a solid working knowledge of media planning and channel strategy, hands-on experience trafficking ads, and the ability to write paid search copy with a real understanding of the mechanics behind it. Strong campaign timeline and logistics management is essential, as is experience managing relationships with external agencies and getting campaigns live. We're also looking for someone comfortable using AI tools to find efficiencies in their day-to-day work.

What You'll Do

  • Support media planning and channel strategy, helping shape how and where campaigns run
  • Manage the logistics of campaigns as they move from brief through creative and into launch, keeping timelines on track and coordinating between Creative, Performance, and our external agency
  • Manage Google Marketing Platform tools (DV360, CM360, and Floodlights) to support campaign setup, tracking, and delivery
  • Coordinate with our agency on ad trafficking, confirming specs, timing, and setup are correct before campaigns go live
  • Write and refine advertising copy
  • Manage campaign timelines and day-to-day logistics to keep launches on schedule
  • Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure campaigns launch and run smoothly
  • Use AI tools and other resources to find efficiencies and improve processes

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years of experience in paid media
  • Experience with media planning and channel strategies
  • Exposure to the full process of launching a media campaign, from brief to creative to launch to reporting
  • Experience trafficking ads
  • Experience writing paid search copy with an understanding of the underlying mechanics
  • Experience with ad tech platforms required; DV360 and CM360 (including Floodlight) experience preferred
  • Experience managing campaign timelines, logistics, and relationships with external agencies
  • Comfort using AI tools to find efficiencies

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, trading, and/or regulatory industries
  • Google Tag Manager experience

Discretionary Performance Bonus: 8-12% of base salary based on individual and company performance.
Salary Range: $75,000-$110,000
