The Role

Morty is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal Associate to support legal, regulatory, compliance, and contract management functions across the company.

This role will play an important part in managing regulatory workflows, licensing processes, compliance-related initiatives, and legal documentation that support Morty’s platform and growing network of loan officers and partners.

This position is ideal for someone with legal or paralegal experience who thrives in structured, detail-driven work, enjoys managing complex documentation and deadlines, and is excited to expand their scope within a fast-moving startup environment.

You will work closely with leadership, operations teams, and external partners to help ensure Morty’s legal and regulatory obligations are handled accurately and efficiently.


What You’ll Own

• Support licensing and regulatory workflows
 • Track licensing requirements, renewals, and compliance deadlines
 • Maintain legal, licensing, and compliance documentation
 • Assist with compliance training and education initiatives
 • Support contract management and document organization
 • Maintain contract records, templates, and tracking systems
 • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners
 • Help drive accuracy and consistency across legal and regulatory processes
 • Identify and escalate potential risks or issues
 • Support special projects across legal, regulatory, and operational matters
