As a Commercial Card Pricing Strategy Associate on the Strategy & Transformation team, you will conduct robust financial analytics, provide consultative pricing support to the Commercial Card Sales and Client Management teams, and collaborate with the broader banking relationship managers to develop winning sales strategies. 

Job responsibilities

  • Support relationships and work cross functionally across the Commercial Card Payments business in order to develop deal specific pricing strategies, and construct pro forma client P&Ls.
  • Assist with end-to-end pricing process for individual deals including constructing deal in the pricing web-based model, comparing proposed solution to profitability benchmarks, securing necessary approvals, and validating that client-facing proposal includes all approved deal terms. 
  • Work closely with Sales, Account Management, Product, Legal, Operations, and Risk
  • Perform ad hoc analyses related to pricing and strategy
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal clients and colleagues
  • Lead other strategic-based initiatives, including evaluation of Product development and deployment, unique or new pricing constructs or concepts, and new means for winning business. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Pricing and valuation experience and will have experienced knowledge of the Commercial Card Business and the broader Payments Industry, including recent changes and its competitive nature.
  • Understanding of the economics of the Credit Card or Commercial Card business including primary drivers of revenues, expenses and competitive dynamics of the industry. 
  • Understanding of Income Statements, Credit Risk and Capital


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Skillset in financial analysis; understanding of pricing techniques
  • Ability to apply financial forensic techniques; identify and resolve data inconsistencies
  • Ability to work well with deadlines, including the unexpected
