Job Description

We’re searching for a Chicago-based People Advisor to join our People team, so that we can translate People policies and programs into clear, actionable guidance for the business while maintaining compliance, strengthening service delivery, and supporting a positive employee experience. The People Advisor will contribute to onboarding, employee relations, front-line coaching, employment changes, and offboarding in order to shape a positive employee experience across the employee lifecycle.  

 

How You’ll Spend Your Time  

  • Provide front-line guidance and coaching to employees and managers on People policies, procedures, employment-related matters, and standard People processes  

  • Partner with People Operations to ensure employee data, documentation, and employment changes are accurate, complete, and processed on time  

  • Identify recurring employee questions or friction points and recommend improvements that strengthen the employee experience  

  • Support managers with low to moderate-complexity employee relations matters, including performance concerns, conduct issues, attendance, workplace conflict, low-risk grievances, and policy interpretation  

  • Translate People policies and programs into practical guidance that helps managers and employees take appropriate next steps  

 

What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having  

  • Previous experience in a People Team role, ideally within a SaaS company  

  • Proven success creating positive employee experiences across the employee lifecycle  

  • A system-oriented mindset, with the ability to think holistically across processes, tools, and stakeholders while applying creative and innovative problem-solving to complex challenges  

  • In-depth knowledge of US employment laws; Canadian employment law knowledge is a plus  

  • This is a hybrid role, with the ability to commute to downtown Chicago approximately 1-2 times per week. 

  • Sincere interest in connected healthcare operations

  • A knack for working collaboratively within a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
