The Pricing Analyst will deliver in-store pricing that optimizes profitability, ensures competitiveness in each local market, and a logical consumer pricing strategy. To be successful, they will leverage data-driven analysis and meaningful insight (trends, financial analysis, metrics development and tracking), to continuously improve pricing strategy and methodology. This role works closely with the Pricing Manager, Merchandising Manager and Data Analyst to implement strategic pricing applications that increase sales and profit.

Analyze market trends, including competitors’ prices, consumer price sensitivity, merchandising & marketing strategies and profitability performance. Synthesize external trends with internal data, including incoming product costs, competitive price position, current inventory value and gaps to financial goals. Deliver informed decisions about the appropriate price points for products based on the analysis of internal and external data. Evaluate consumer demand and item profitability to advise when certain items should be discontinued from CHEF’STORE assortment. Monitor the results of pricing decisions by evaluating margin rate versus total profit tradeoff. Communicate management regularly on performance opportunities. Revise pricing decisions if necessary, and proactively monitor products’ performance to determine whether reevaluation is needed. Maintain detailed records for individual products that can be used to evaluate future market trends and inform future pricing decisions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum three years' experience in business analytics required.
  • One to three years' experience in food service, retail or other related store-level experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables/VLOOKUPs), Word, and Outlook,
  • Position requires limited travel up to 10%

This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).  The expected base rate for this role is between

$55,000 - $90,000
